For a town surrounded by the sea it is little wonder that it offers a range of water based activities. Apart from the beaches there are a wide variety of water sports and boating opportunities on offer for the visitor to enjoy.

The town with its narrow main street built beside the harbour has a charm of its own. Elegant Georgian terraces remind us of the important position Falmouth enjoyed. There are several places of interest  worth a visit.

Cornwall with its unique weather has many impressive gardens and in Falmouth and nearby are several fine gardens worth visiting.

Falmouth boasts many good restaurants, which cater for all tastes, so there is no need for any one to go hungry. There is an active nightlife , ranging from traditional pubs to shows and nightclubs.  

After over indulgence a little sport can often help and Falmouth has a range to offer throughout the year.

With a renowned Art College, Falmouth has a long standing reputation as centre for the arts. Falmouth Art Gallery and the Arts Centre are the focus for the visual arts and the College holds exhibitions of students work. The town is a base for many established artists and a magnet for younger artists waiting to be discovered. 

Falmouth is also an ideal base to explore the wider attractions that Cornwall has to offer, from the rugged North Coast, to the tree lined valleys of the South Coast. Quaint fishing villages abound and beautiful views are to be found all over. Cornwall has plenty of attractions for all ages and tastes from the world famous Eden Project to the Tate St.Ives
